Brake servo removal

Post

Morning all. Its time to replace my servo as its looking very tired. Ive not removed this before and speaking to my mechanic he tells me it is fairly straight forward with no need to bleed the brakes after refitting.
Can anyone give me advice or a link to doing this just to give me peace of mind that I'm doing it right.
Car is 1990 GTI cabby 1.8 DX engine.

Thanks people.

Find the size of the nuts, IIRC 13 or 15mm, then buy self ratcheting wrenches that articulate as in can move on the box end 45 degrees.

They are a pain in the dairyaire (yes I know it is spelt different, but occasionally don't you think it smells like Dairy Aire ) to get to the bottom one.  There are 3.

When going back with the mc, take both nuts down equally that is 10spins on one 10 on the other… else you will break the center finger rod off the new booster.

Oh and remember to remove the clevis pin off the pedal first.

Also going back remember to set the Freeplay.

What do Divorces, Great Coffee, and Car Electrics all have in common?

They all start with GOOD Grounds.
