Brake Pedal Assistance

Post

I'm trying to figure out how to get the brake pedal off!

Removed the clip from the clutch pedal side and presumed I had to drift it out, but nope, ain't happening!

Help me before I head butt it again in frustration!

Yeah that's correct , remove clip and drift it out,  removed mine yesterday,  are you trying to do it in situ?   might make it a bit harder.  I removed my column and on the bench the pin popped out easily.

Sitting in place, you have a "iron" bind as the pin or pivot is under pressure from the Brake booster.
You need to remove the clevis pin from the pedal, and work it out.  It is a pain but it can be done.

There is the main rod at the top and a return spring that you have to contend with.

Pin at the Top that goes through to the clutch side.
Pin that holds the Clevis to the Pedal,
Return spring.

see: LHD but is the same.

What do Divorces, Great Coffee, and Car Electrics all have in common?

They all start with GOOD Grounds.

Where are my DIY Links?

Cheers mate. I have all the stuff off the pedal, I just can't get the pin out (no 12).

Looks like it should just drift out with a few blows. Probably just corroded in place. I shall hit it harder then!  O_o  :P

Yup, in situ mate. I shall just belt it a bit harder. Just needed confirmation that there wasn't something I was missing and was about to bend or break.

Thanks chaps
