Car MK1 VW Golf Cabriolet 1.8 Auto
The garage reckon I've got plenty of holes in the mid section of my exhaust and to fair it sounds like its blowing.
I would like to get a performance one if possible, really struggling to find one that will fit my car.
Are Auto cabs that much different to manual?

No, they install the same…..
You will need to heat shield the down pipes to vent the heat from the CV's and the Steering rack.
The Shielding also is to keep excessive heat off the starter.

I have a small bumper cabriolet. Do i need a different tail pipe. All the ones I've seen are for clippers

You can cut the tail pipe(end piece) to any length. So if it is too long, cut it off, if it is too short buy one of those tail pipe chrome extenders.
I know a woman who had a "My Little Kitty" one made for her tail pipe…
