Then a/c equipped, Sanden or York… Round compressor under the alternator is Sanden, square boxy on top of the alternator York.
What do Divorces, Great Coffee, and Car Electrics all have in common?

2 each for Bosch Alts.
2 Each for Valeo (Motorola)
Each style has 1 that is for a/c and one non-a/c
The non-a/c is physically longer than the a/c or as it sits on the alternator it is sticking out more on the non-a/c to accommodate the lack of a compressor.
On a a/c equipped car the Compressor is in line with the waterpump pulley, and the Alternator section of the Compressors clutch (dual belted pulley) is behind the water pump.
Here is a a/c equipped 1.8 digifant pulley.
Here is the pulley part by itself for a non-a/c car.
It is from a conversion site :
http://www.toywagen.com/toywagen-products/
They don't include the Fan…..
Now a while back when I had to buy a alternator, the first one I bought came with the "Non" a/c pulley and fan, and I wished I would of kept it…
The second one I bought (both bosch) for the other cabby didn't have a pulley, and there was a warning flag on it to take the pulley off your old one.
I would assume that you need to try to locate one at a Breakers, and or have your Auto Store look at theirs to see if a pulley is included.
The the second question is do you need the pulley and Fan or the pulley alone.
I am located in the USA so me trying to assist you is for more information…..So you can get the correct pulley you need.
Differences in the Alternators is that a Valeo or Motorola has a plug that is 3 pinned, whereas the Bosch has two screwed stud attachments….
Hope it helps you locate the correct one.

I stripped my alternator down a few months ago and rebuilt it, then forgot which order the pulley parts go in. doh. However, fortunately, I had a spare, so I stripped that, cleaned the bits, then promptly forgot where it all goes again.double doh!
I was going to keep my spares to plate, as my plating set up isnt correct at the moment, and Im just about to move back to the UK, so need to get the car finished, so If I have the right one, I could possibly post it to you.
My car is a non ac 1.8 carb and had this alternator on: (before)
Now its looking like this:
But things arent in the right order, and I cant find any photos I took of the bits in the correct order.
So if you have any, or can tell me, it would really help.
The other type of alternator I have is this, on my Gti, which will, hopefully also be coming back with me, and I have a spare alternator for this as well, if its the same as yours.
Maybe some one can tell me if I have the right one on my 1.8 carb (auto non a/c).
Also, I need a new sticker, if some one can point me in the right direction.

It didn't help me, as it doesn't show all of the connecting parts, but it does list the different pulleys etc.
