All White Wheel Refurb

I attach a photo of one of the wheels from my All White GTI. All four are in need of a refurb. Whilst most of the wheel is alpine white, the flat surfaces of the wheel seem to have a silver/grey film which is peeling off.

Does anyone know what colour this and where I can have these wheels restored to their factory condition?

They are painted then diamond cut then lacquered.

Most of them are now just all painted as it's a lot cheaper and last longer then getting them painted, cut and lacquered.

I used a local company (wheelrite) to me in Lincolnshire. They were £95 each plus VAT but looked as new. I'm sure there must be a good alloy wheel refurbisher near you

Yes it's pricey to get them back to factory and that's why a lot of them have been powered coated just white, it's cheaper and lasts longer than the factory look..

edit… just noticed I already said this earlier in the thread.. 

wow… that seems like a 'Wheel Specialist' quote  when i went to get mine done originally they quoted me £175 per wheel!!!!  having a laugh…
There's a guy nr Cardiff S.Wales that did them for me hell of a lot cheaper too…
