Accumulator delete?

Hi, I’m replacing my rigid fuel lines (‘83 gti) as the high pressure line has got a pinhole in it. Since the car is now running EFI with Bosch red top injectors do I need to keep the accumulator or would this be a good time to remove it? The union between the rigid line and the curly braided hose looks pretty rusted up so might be tricky to remove.
If I can delete the accumulator do I just connect the rigid line to the output side of the pump that sits just there?

When I put my 2,0 abf  lump in cabriolet I took mine off and swerl chamber
People said have warm starting problems due no pressure in system.  
But mine is perfect runs mint with out it  putting out 192bhp now
