AC compressor two wires or one wire?

All the AC naesayers stay away and don't tell me to do AC delete cos it's hot as xxxx here in Houston some days a roasty toasty 41C so I'm putting a new AC compressor on my engine and that's just the way it's gonna be!

Anyway the new compressor I have has one green wire whereas the one that came off the car has one green wire and one brown wire? Did I order the wrong part or what am I missing here…….any help would be appreciated from the pro-AC folks lol.

You have to have a sanden compressor, yours doesn't look to be an "exact" fit, and the sanden had a plug on it attachec to the compressor frame that has two spads one green (power) and one brown Ground, the other end of the ground wire goes to one of the case nuts of the alternator.

If you can find an older style of adjust bracket with the barrel bolt style, it makes it way easier to adjust the belt tension.

I don't think that your a/c lines will mate to the new compressor.

What do Divorces, Great Coffee, and Car Electrics all have in common?

They all start with GOOD Grounds.

Where are my DIY Links?

Yeah I have the curved bracket and adjustment thing. will need to check the hose fitment too. Guess I'll have to try and return the new one then if it's the wrong type.
