1980 Driver - small bumpers

Hi

Advice/help required regards my series 1 Driver.

It has the standard plastic bumpers with the normal hangar brackets.

I would to fit small metal black bumpers but it doesn't seem as if they're compatible with the standard bumpers which are fitted.

Does
Anyone know
If it is possible, and if so what is required in terms of parts and fitting. 

If it's too complicated I will probably stay with as is.

You'll need bumpers, brackets, bracket bolts/nuts and end caps. Also the long centre rubber inserts if you want but these aren't necessary to fit the bumpers.
once you bolt the bumper parts together they just use the same four bolts to mount as your plastic bumpers in the same places.

My 83 driver (now gti) with small bumpers

I just need to weld up the redundant bumper clip holes now

If you have all the bits for the small bumpers then yes a straight swap
