1.8 GTI fuel pump

Hi all,

Starting to piece the underside of my build back together and need a new fuel pump. I remember my old one being annoyingly noisey so after any recommendations for a reliable, strong and quiet fuel pump  (not asking for much!). Engine is a 1.8 8v (Dx) with a fast road cam.

I ordered Bosch one from Amazon p/n 0580464126 for £42 just over week ago and so quiet compared to old one had to touch it to feel it running!
Just checked and now £75
Pump was slightly smaller in diameter but came with a packer sleeve so was snug enough in cushioned bracket

I can hear pump a bit now, but changed my exhaust to OEM - was big bore noisy back box before, so hid any noise
On my old mk2 could hear the pump too - they are pumping out fair bit of pressure so think bit of noise is normal enough

I got my pump from VW Heritage in April 2016. Pump was noisy and I thought it was down to it being a non genuine item but then I realized I had the fuel pipe between the pump and the accumulator touching the bodywork which must have been resonating through the body. Once that was sorted it was very quiet, you only just hear it purge before the engine starts. Fits nicely in the original foam. Done about 4K miles trouble free so far. It was about £60 at the time and they have them on special now for £62.
