Yorkshire pudding
Yeah
Yorkshire pudding how the hell do you get Yorkshire puddings to rise ? Mine keep coming out flat like a biscuit like this
I need the tray to look like this
So ask those Wife's Girlfiends Mothers for me and post the best recipe and method for me - my reputation in the Kitchen is under threat . Which means i can spend less time in the garage
HELP
Cheers………

The Girlfriend says use a bit of hot oil in each section of the tray and use self raising flour in the recipe!
Or buy some Aunt Bessie's and palm them off as your own

seret is get the oven to right temp, pop in tray with a bit of oil in each dish leave it in for tray to get hot until fat starts to steam then put in your mix . or a better alternative is go to local pub with 2 for a fiver offer. 8)

I just asked and got a stange look and the following two answers………
1. Buy batter mix - save loads of grief
2. Never ever open the oven door when mix in and cooking otherwise it will flop.
Temp seems to be the key i.e HOT
:dontknow:

As mentioned you need to put the baking tray into the oven with a little oil in each section and heat it on max temp. when you put your mix in you will hear it sizzle. the hotter the oven the better the pudds.

apparently another tip is to never wash your pudding tray, only wipe out crusty bits left. but this could be a lame excuse for getting out of washing the dishes.?

Another tip always sift the flour if you are not doing so already this makes a big difference.
