Think you might need membership, as i tried to reply to a post on the sale part and got the same message
You do need to be a paid member to post a car for sale, though if you wish to respond to someone selling a car and you are not a paid member then use the pm's (private message) to message the seller

WHY? It used to be free…
This annoys me 'coz right, lets say someone has an "old Golf" sitting in the garage they want rid of. They know it's a Mk1 but they have no interest in it whatsoever.
They put Mk1 Golf into Google to find a website where people might want to come and take it off their hands.
They go to put the advert up but it doesn't let them and they aren't going to pay for a years membership to get rid of a car they are sick of seeing are they?
So what happens then? You've got members on here looking for cars and you've got cars out there rotting away in garages in danger of getting weigh'd in 'coz scrap is so valuable at the moment and this site won't let people wanting to get rid of a "scrappy old Golf" (could be a S1 GTI or anything!).
Can someone change this back so that all members can post cars up for sale please? Otherwise, what's the point in the number 1 resource for Mk1 Golfs in the UK and the world having a For Sale section?

I put a suggestion forwards that we allow cheap (say ?250 and under) cars for sale for free, but the club members voted against it.
