Drove straight through to Chamonix last year, only took 11 hours door to door that was using the chunnel

On the plus side, saving for the Classic races next year and intend taking the Mk1 then - i've never actually been in a car!!! Either been in a mini bus or on my motorbike, so it will be a first when i take the car!
Lots of pics please when you get back, it'll bring some memories back
My favourite route has been Portsmouth to either Le Havre or Caen, and a drive down from there. I did Dover Calais driving a minibus a few years ago - it took Hours (3 hours this side of the channel!) - but we did prove that white vans are the fastest things on the road as we arrived about 2 hours before the cobras, porsche, jag, westfield and bikes that 'travelled' with us
