Whos going to Le Mans this year?

I was just wondering if anyone on here is going to Le Mans? I'm going in my Mk1 this year, its my 10th Le Mans but the first in the Golf.

Would be cool to have a beer with a fellow dubber if any of you are going?

My new company - Carbon Motive - I am setting up as we speak so be nice….

I fancy it. Which is the preferred way to get there? Take a short ferry to Calais or cut a lump of the journey out by going to Dieppe?

We're going via the Chunnel, just gonna do a straight drive through from Cheshire.
Drove straight through to Chamonix last year, only took 11 hours door to door that was using the chunnel

Those of you going have a great time. not going again this year (sob). Not even getting away for a MotoGP or WSBK round either (double sob) as a distinct lack of funds this year (plus i already have two family hols booked…)

On the plus side, saving for the Classic races next year and intend taking the Mk1 then - i've never actually been in a car!!! Either been in a mini bus or on my motorbike, so it will be a first when i take the car!

Lots of pics please when you get back, it'll bring some memories back

My favourite route has been Portsmouth to either Le Havre or Caen, and a drive down from there. I did Dover Calais driving a minibus a few years ago - it took Hours (3 hours this side of the channel!) - but we did prove that white vans are the fastest things on the road as we arrived about 2 hours before the cobras, porsche, jag, westfield and bikes that 'travelled' with us
