Where were the cabbys?

there was 3 or 4 cabbys in the for sale section :dontknow:

the weather forecast for the weekend said

Tis a bit odd.  Cabbys are half the population on here, you would have thought that more would have made the effort.

Nobody invited me and iam a member……I think? :dontknow:  

2 things put pay to us going.

Water under the car  :cry:     and the potential for water on top of the car  

To put it simply, just water in general

Gti Inters has been in the National events section for quite some time, everyones welcome.  Even if you didn't book your ticket in advance you can normally just turn up on the day and check if there's room (9 times out of 10 there is) and then go bring your car from the car park to the stand   .

Paul, I never found my keys   , so I've had to source a replacement ignition/lock set which I'm collecting tonight, once Ive fitted these locks I'm getting 3/4 keys cut. I cant understand where I lost my keys, I only walked from the garage to the kitchen about 40 feet away  :? .

perhaps they were running sooooo late, they all put thier foots down and after 1/2 hour of acceleration, reached 88mph and went back to the future.
dare say that they are looking for a new flux capcitor so they can make it back for last years inters.

But it was sunny on Sunday, and there were loads of other cabbys around - just none on the stand?????

wooders your funny we were there but i went to the stand and though i aint parking in that mud  

met malc tho top bloke

and as for the 89mph as we passed the m1 i found a private air strip where a r32 was speeding so i felt it needed me to overtake and give him the glare i have no idea of speed because cab clocks dont only go to the oddometer stock  

and no he didnt catch me after giving him a look 8)

Did you take it down the strip, and if so what times did you achieve? I kept a lookout for a red cabby going fast, all I saw were other ones, doing embarrasing times like 0-60 of over 10 secs and 18 sec 1/4 miles, etc….

We think your wife hid them because she wanted to go shopping, instead of you going off to "another car show" or something…..

Almost believable, except she saw the opportunity as a chance to watch Big Brother on E4 all day with me out the way   , I could sense she was getting uneasy with the fact I might be controlling the T.V remote for the afternoon, she even promised to keep looking for the keys while I was at the show.

i took one look at the strip and said forget it wasnt going to run my car down there

the strip was awful and the timing gear was miles out some guy did a 0 to 60 in 4 secs and missed a gear the next car flew of the line and got a 10 sec 0 to 60

I know what you mean, the strip's just like a real road, rather than a proper decent surface like Santa Pod. Didn't put people off though - I saw a MASSIVE queue for signup on Sunday afternoon, they'd run out of slots on Sunday morning. Do they give you your 0-60mph time at Santa Pod, or is it 80ft, 1/8 mile and 1/4 mile times and mph at the finish?

i think you get all sorts at the pod reaction times ect ect but then thats what they do

saw the mk1 rocco run the after at 10.66 that was awesome the green mk1 didnt seem to get of the line very well
