What would you do ?
My registration on my golf is worth £700. I can also buy a number plate with my initials on for £185. Do I sell my reg on my golf and buy a reg with my initials on it and then that leaves me £515 to go towards mre wrk on the golf ?

Personally I would stick with the original number plate and leave that on the car, but that's just me.

I would also keep the original number. I dont like personal plates.
However at the end of the day its your car so your decision.

your car might lose value as it's not on the original plate and won't match up if you've been keeping the history for it..

I don't think the plate will go up in value and I'm not to bothered bout the car losing a bit of value as I'm keeping her for Eva !! I've promised my daughter that she can have it wen She's older…. She's only 7 !!

Won't you have to pay a fair bit in transfer fees. Last time I did it, it was £80 to remove a reg and then another £80 to assign another one
