what have i been up to?

alright peeps, been a long time, so thought id update u all. after selling my mk1, gutted as i was, i was rolling round in my mk2 polo, then a friend of mine had his car nicked and begged me to sell him the polo, as he was strapped for cash and needed a motor i did him a deal with 1 proviso, that when he wants to sell it i get first dibs on it. so, that meant i needed a car to roll in, and as this was silly cheap i thort why not, u only live once:




ta da!! this is only a temporary car for me, its lacks the soul and character of a mk1 so tomorrow im goin to look at another golf, it will be a full resto project, but im keepin a level head and not goin to bite off more than i can chew, so watch this space.

spec is also a '94 rado vr6 2.9 , and amazingly, cheaper to insure than the golf?!!  :?

when you come to sell the rado let me know my mother's been after one for a while.

it may lack that infamous Mk1 soul but it's got it's own soul… and sound  :wink:  8)

no my mums been after a rado for about 6 years. she also has an mgbgt and has just sold her mk4 gttdi to my sister.
she's had a mk1 gti and a 1.1.
my mum is nuts and really likes cars. :dontknow:

oh the noise, it is spectacular, and above 4k it sings!! will be hard going back to a wheezy 4pot, lol

ha, probably, its amazing im not wet everytime i get in it, lol.
as for the mk1 i went to look at, it was an absolute heap, and ufortunately relly wasnt worth even trying, maybe only a few spares to get from it so i left it, will keep an eye out tho  :wink:

Shame about the MK1, but you need to start off with something pretty solid I guess, keep us updated
