Ah that is the best news ever! I always found the way that classic parts worked made it difficult to find what you need so its really good news that they have partnered with BBT!!

Got the same E mail too, what happened to them going through the main dealers like in the States and Germany? Good news all round.

We were going to announce this on Monday, but it seems VW got there first []

We're very happy that VW have recognised the work that we put in, and have chosen us to be their preferred partner in the UK, the basics are anything that is listed by Classic will be available through us, with regards to pricing/stocking etc, we will be making further announcements in the very near future.

when u say "anything that is listed", are you referring to the "classic parts center" or everthing that is available from WOLFSBURG that you can pre order from?

Anything that is available from VW Classic Parts, as I've said we're still finalising the details but the idea is that we will have a "Classic Parts" section on the site, where you can see availability of parts, and order them.

I got the e-mail this morning but when I followed the link I could see non of the parts,so are the items the same prices? and we save the P+P from Germany.
Or are the prices dearer?

the web stuff will be happening over the next week or so, prices and so on will be released at the same time, but rest assured, we're not going to be ripping anyone off. VW wouldn't let that happen!

I have had stuff from classic parts, hence getting the mail. the only problem was paying them; I had to get them to call me to take visa details, so hopefully we can all get the classic parts we want for a similar price and buy and pay online easily

VW dealers do provide this service but they didnt seam overjoyed when i asked them to do it

Hopefully it should be the same as purchasing any other part from us, and now VW dealers will direct you to us, which will hopefully give you guys a more consistent experience too.

I hope the prices come down. When I was looking for a top rad for Cabrio they (the german site) were pushing 60 quid.....

With regards to prices, for the most part they're genuine parts, so you'll pay genuine money, I'd imagine if you walked into your local VW dealer for a rad hose for a Mk6 it'd be similar if not more money

VW Hertiage to the rescue today.

I needed the rear upper spring seat for the suspension sharpish. After ringing round a few dealership who has showed stock at some time… I was flicking through this months Golf+ mag when the penny finally dropped!!!

I wouldn't mind but they contacted me asking what hard-to-come-by parts we'd like to see remanufactured!!!     :redfaced:
