virus and spyware removal

Anyone with any viruses/spyware that they cant get rid of, give us a pm and i will sort it for ya!

iu got loads of svchost.exe processes running in my back ground i am under the impression that about 5 should be running but i got over ten on average. they are slowing my comp down but i have tried every scan under the sun and the all come back a blank so i pressume theres nothing ther but it has slowed down of late

Usually nowt wrong with svchost

a lot of virus's and malware hide them selves as svchost.exe and with the comp slowing down overnight i'm a bit worried i got a time bomb on my hands

Will pm yer some instructions and an email address in the morning.

Not to worry you but the malware that hides as svchost can be nasty but ill take a look an we'll suss it out.

If you are worried dont do any banking online or paypal or whatever!

when i 1st got my laptop i put sophos on, to connect to my uni network i had to have norton installed. i get the feeling theyre working against each other but dont know how to un-install ether of them (macs dont like you un-installing stuff)! while im here, do you know any good virus scanners for mac?

have you any address's for free scan-ware or firewalls mate? when you type them in google you just get mis-leading webpages :?

little snitch is a useful little program for finding out exactly whats going in and out of your computer when youre downloading, installing, uploading or just surfing. not sure if its mac only thou?!

No probs. That site is really good for any computer related problems. Thats where i was trained to remove spyware, but it can take at least five days to get an answer cos there really busy. Thought i would offer my services here, and of course if i help anyone, an yer really gratefull you can always forward me some parts!
