Hmmmm…….. more VW's in there than I remember - must be in the blood  :wink: . I'm willing to bet that '87 Polo is soldiering on somewhere - those cars are possibly the most over-engineered cars VW EVER produced  :wink:

Believe it or not, the most reliable car of all that lot was the Fiat Tempra. The 405 SRI set itself on fire and burntout from a perished fuel line……By far the most unrealiable car I've had!!

Y - 83 - mk1 golf C 1100cc - bought as project when i was 15 in 2004 still have it now

N - 96 - renault laguna - learnt to drive in 2004 and wrote it of 14days after passing mum was not happy as it was her car but not my fault it got written of.

J - 92 peugeot 106 - bought as a run about whilst golf was being done 2004-2005

G - 89 - peugeot 205 1100cc converted to 1400cc xs engine - bought as a run about again 2005 till present

G - 89 - scirocco 1800 - bought as a run about for 2 weeks thraped it then got bits of it to finish my conversion on golf

E Ford Fiesta Popular 850 - learned to drive in
D VW Polo 1.3 (first car proper) - Wrapped around a tree after about 2 months driving
B VW Polo Coupe 1.3 S - Bonnet flipped up at 40mph, that was fun!
G Fiat Uno 850 - T-boned by a Volvo on a juction due to absolute lack of power resulting in me getting 6points and having to resit my test  :x
K Proton 1.3 hatch - Truely awful car, but it was a freebie. Crashed in wet weather and <ahem> under the influence 18 month ban  ops:

Y Ford Capri 1.6 LS   - Bought as a run about for a few months
J Mk2 Golf Ryder - Cheap and reliable
M Audi 80 SE Sport - wonderful car but drank oil, rear ended by a stolen Calibra which was never traced

Them VX220's are an absolute nightmare to get in & out of. I've looked like a right clown on several occasions trying to get in and out of one of them!!!

1979 Volkswagen Polo MK1 L 895cc - September 2005 - June 2006 - beautiful car only done 24K when i got it, full history, 1 lady owner from new, well maintained & serviced by VW.

1980? Ford Escort MK1 - 1303cc - 1 lady owner from new, well serviced, garaged, great body, brought & sold straight away. (February 2006)

1983 Volkswagen Polo MK2 CL 1050cc - June 2006 - August 2006 ( ugly)

1983 Volkswagen Golf MK1 1.6 with polished and ported one eight lump - August 2006 - Present)
