I just ordered 195 45 15`s in the new out Yokohama S drive, it looks a nice tyre……..only ?35 each + delivery from R-tec they are advertising them on ebay but ordered form the web site itself, i find toyos good but i find my driving style kinda eats them!! only last 5-6k which is not good considering! i have yoko A539`s on the factory rims and they are superb, i want the S drive ones for my RM`s i just refurbed as the fuldas i got with them im just not sure about :dontknow:  and 1 of thems damaged anyway!

Isn't it false economy just buying loose tyres ?

How's the overall price once you've took them to a tyre fitter for fitting,valves and balance ?

not used toyo tyres, but have good experience of the yoko's. last set of 185 60 14's on a mk1 one were very very good. did two track days on them too. i saw people with toyo's and goodyear f1's that were in bits after a days track. all the business about them being no good in the wet, i find bemusing. who rags a car around on public roads, while it's p1ssing down? i found them just fine in the wet, but i always drive safer on wetter roads.

Yokos all the way, had the 539s on my mini, they stood up to 2 track days and 8000mles use inbetween track days and still had 1/4 of the tread left, and they were bllody good round the track too!!!

Toyos had a set of proxy t1s on my mk3 and they were superb tyres, they have now been replaced with the t1rs i think, its and extra bit of tread cut into them thats all.

Settled on the Toyo T1R Proxes…..four of 195x45x15's for ?164.80 incl VAT & delivery
