i have a solid good lokking golf witch now has an engine that doesnt go 2 me this the perfect oppertunity to do an engine transplant but not a normal transplant iv been toying with the idea of putting in either a vauxhall 2.0 redtop purily for the power .tunabilty and and they can rev like hell or i was thinking 1.9 peugeot mi16 engine (i know i know its french)but purily for tunibilty and the fact that its made from aluminium and is a lot lighter than any vw engine i know of please tell me what you think of these ideas and what pros and cons you think there would be i.e would i have to lean the mi16 engine like you have to in a 205 :dontknow:

The redtop is reliable when tuned and would be the choice I would go for. The french engine maybe lighter but c'mon, it'll probably break!
