sucessful mk2 rear bench conversion

hiya guys, ive just finished fitting a mk2 half leather interior into my pride and joy, i didnt think it would go as advised, as its much wider. but i got it in without any welding cutting or grinding. it sits about 2 inches futher forward now but i dont care about rear leg room(lucky really) i swapped the rear reciever pins for the shorter mk2 ones. then bolted a piece of 2 by 1 under the front lip to screw the front hinge brackets to. All well and good, but i had to also swap all the rear seat belts, which turned out to be a right head ache. as one bracket on the mk2 belts wouldnt go through the hole in the speaker housing. once slighty butchered, it was just bolt up and go. the front seats were much easier but i still have to have them fixed in position as i cant get the operater handles to function properly. i also had to change the seat belt reciver on both fronts as not to have to change the inertia belts up front to. so all is well and i cant wait to do the simple job of back-2-blacking all the exterior trim.... YEEE HAAA. Im sorry there are no pics of any of this. this is due to a shoe string budget and no camera, but and i promise i will sort this ASAP. thank you all. Dave (kainesbwza)
