spotted this at the mot station today

it was that dreaded time of year again when i have to check over our people carrier (im not going to mention what it is but its green ugly and in one of the pictures) the car sailed through after i did a bit of work on it,but whilst i was there i was having a look round and there was a huge american car/boat under a cover,a mgbgt,a very rusty old beetle and this little gem:
a skoda rapid 130




under the bonnet/boot was mint,still shiny and original  8O

the interior was good to,all original

the owners plans are to drive it to south africa in the next year or so  8O
it really was a lovely car,hav'nt seen one on the road for years!

this may be the last one on the road ;p

I love them things .. never driven one though.. hear it's a bit light on the front end.

he did say its a bit tail happy,under the bonnet/boot is really quite big so maybe drop a slab in there  

Lol, My old girlfriends parents had one.

One day she was driving me to the take away when the weld on the accelerator pedal snapped leaving it at high throttle.

It shot off and to say she was panicking is an understatement lol.

I just told her to dip the clutch and kill the engine.
We had to wait for the RAC to come out.

Ah happy days lol.

im surprised they never got done under the trades description act

as it clearly says Rapid on the back

Can't say I've ever been excited about them,now a Hillman Imp now your talking

hillman imp.....my first car. Blew everything off at the lights up to about 30mph and then after the adrenaline rush huge embarassment when everything flew past you. Brilliant in the snow though!
