Selling on eBay - advice or tips

I want to sell my Mk1 and am considering using eBay to do it.
Has anyone got any advice or tips for me before I take the plunge?

DONT! :banghead: sell it on here! ask us how much we think its worth! we wont rip you off! ebay has so many service charges its not worth it! you will find someone on here looking to buy your car and they will look after it!  8) we're good people, trust us!

Sorry should explain myself!!
I put her on here a few weeks ago but no one was interested, just thought it might be another good way to sell her.
Judging by the reaction I should put her back on here shouldn't I 'cos I know she'll be bought by someone who will cherish her.
I'm basically downsizing and I'll be sorry to lose her.
I will add photos.

My advice: Take time and effort to make the detailed description easy to read, with paragraphs and no spelling mistakes. Be as honest as you can and describe all the faults, as well as all the good bits. Take plenty of clear pics including the faults, so that you can be shown to be as honest as possible. Make sure you include clear contact info and add a little section to dissuade scammers, etc (just browse around other ads for an idea of it). Do your research on the going price for the car. Start the auction at a lowish price but if you can afford to have it not sell and have to relist it, set a reasonable reserve price.
