Scrapheap Challenge Team??

Anyone else interested in putting a team together?

I'm A welder and not to bad at fabrication of bits and bobs

An engine and gearbox specialist is a must

An electric wizard is also a must

a plumber would also be handy depending on the challenge

So is anyone up for this?
folk that spring to mind would be Paul_c and Crazyquiff etc

what do we think??

Dont ask what your club can do for you, but what can you do for your club?

We'd find a rusty MK1 in the scrapyard and start to restore and modify it and loose the competition……

1983 Mars Red 1.8 Golf GTI
1987 Alpine White 1.8 Clipper Cabriolet

The trouble with doing nothing is that you never know when you are finished.

Sounds good to me, I'd be up for it, but I cant weld, i know sod all about gearboxes, my engine skills aint that great either, but I'm good at organising people, great at scavanging and superb at problem solving..

tiem isnt with me at the moment tho, but if the challenge was right I'd make time, all I'd say is that teh team would need to build summit/work together first to make sure they get along…

We want you to build an amphibious vehicle from stuff scattered around a normal scrapyard………….

Low and behold they find the front of a boat!! What a find.

We want you to build an RC plane and again in a scrapyard a large qty of polystyrene is found!!!!!

The stuff they find is so planted!!

I would love to see them do it for real from a real scrapyard. saying that though its good to watch the end, and what they achieve, very A team!

Would be good to see an owners club team though, so go for it.

1983 A 1.1c faded pink (Sometimes described as mars red!)

Just like a job interview.
" please mr wooders what field of expertise can you bring to the table?"

"Have you got any references from previous bodged jobs you have done that where either successful or not?".

"and where would you like to see yourself in say 3yrs from now?"

Dont ask what your club can do for you, but what can you do for your club?

I'd be up for it.  Definately!

I can weld, paint (not that that is needed!) and am very good with engines, gearboxes and general mechanicy stuff.
