scrap cats?

are they worth money? need to replace one on my daily driver and wonder if it was worth keeping to cash in?

Depends on exactly what comes off, but yes some are worth money. I'd keep it and get it checked out.:-)

They all have platinum inside them, a bloke what I know (no dodginess, you understand) sells scrap cats for about £70 a piece.

Just a shame he doesn't get rid of many, a fortune to be made!

how much you will get depends on what car the cat came from but they are all worth money £20-100

my dad got up 1 morning ,started the car and discoverd some one stole the cat of his car  apparantly citreon picasso's cats are worth about £120 scrap

I work for a Peugeot dealer and regularly sell cats for new boxers
Coz there do easy to get under to nick them! We got a motor home
Company down the road that had 13 nicked in one night! At a £1000 each
The parts department was very happy as there bonus is profit related! Lol

if its a original cat (factory fitted) its worth money but if its a aftermarket one i.e euro car parts our scrap man doesnt excepet them

well will find out tomorrow when mine gets removed, should be the original, off my daily renault

at work we had a cat off a 535i bmw got 95 for it. Paid for our drinks out that night lol

wasn't allowed to have it back

apparently it needs to go away for special disposal.
