Look how much these went for and the seller isn't even sure they work properly!

I had no idea bits went for this much. My car's looking more valuable as parts all the time!

Does yours have the water temp, fuel gauge AND econometer though? That's what makes this one expensive, it is a rare item. Also its not particularly expensive, in the context of new parts for many other cars. For example I think an Audi TT dashboard module is around ?400-500?

Mine is the same as that. Didn't know it was so rare! Best look after it then!

It does seem expensive for a 2nd hand part considering I bought one for an Audi Quattro for ?15 not so long ago.

I do intend to get my car sorted but with prices like these it's tempting to break it.

The clocks are from the 1800 GTI with MFA which are very sort after. The chances are something is wrong with them, but nevertheless still worth it as these clocks go up in value. Can't lose IMO over the longterm.

Out of interest,
If I fitted the flavour with the temp guage where the econometer is, would they work in my car? Might "mothball" the rare one if so.

My MFA gives the inevitable 99.9 mpg reading and the LED in the temp guage won't stop flashing but otherwise they're OK so are worth looking after.

We had an A reg 1.8 Passat estate with those clocks too. Wish I'd kept them when it went to the scrappy. If only I'd known  :roll:

i have 2 sets of these! 1 of which is sat in my garage, see i dont know wether they are fully working either! they are the motometer ones?

i didnt realise they went for that money either tbh!
