scammed?

Hi all,

im not a regular here yet but tryin to get my first mk1 project started…..
does anyone know id: "mk1driver"???

bought a "complete" 9a engine n box off him……wasnt cheap as well!
he "forgot" to put some parts on the pallet like the driveshafts, cables etc and now has gone under the radar for the last 2 months. no reply to pm's, texts, voicemails and calls.
having to source replacement parts now…

he said he was busy with work but now hes just takin the p*ss

sounds about right your best collecting parts where you can to make sure youdont get shafted

but i guess what im sayin is ive already paid handsomely for a full conversion (including said driveshafts etc) but now have to pay again to source replacements - as they didnt show up!!! ………..along with a few other bits n bobs!

needless expense and a pain!

I feel for you, but the advise I always give always try and buy from a paid member of the club they can then be traced.
Always try to buy and collect in person.

as always its buyer beware I hope they do the decent thing.

Dont you just hate dishonest people,had dealings with one myself called cavs on here,luckly paid via paypal and have just won my complaint against him and had the full amount that i paid for the item refunded

I live by usk, well 25 minutes away, if you ever manage to get hold of him, or sort anything, then let me know, i'd be happy to collect if you covered a little bit of fuel, and you could get collected from my house.

Least you know i'm not going to rip you off!

you're absolutely right, I should have paid by paypal……
….I just stupidly keep thinking everyone is honest until proven otherwise - thats why I keep gettin shaft*d I guess!

Quick, naive question……..when you pay via paypal, who normally pays the fees - the buyer?

Hopefully I'll learn this time! …bought some replacement driveshafts etc for my project so gonna move on….

no mate the seller pays the fees.

You can get around most of the fees buy paying someone a smaller deposit on paypal and then the rest of the cash on completion of the deal, be that by bank or whatever.
