scalextric.......slot cars

hello….any one intrested in slot car racing and scalextrix then this might be for you

i am planning to build a 6 or 8 lane track…got support from my local parash and hopefully the council

i am a collector and racer and if any one has any scalextrix track or cars for sale then please get in touch

I got into Scalextric at a very early age - 23!!!

I was lucky to have a 20ft lounge and had a 4 lane set up when time allowed. It then got reduced to a 2 lane set up but with a 'double decker' lane (one on top of the other) which worked really well. Included in the layout was the 'high hump', 'paddock' (with working switches), 'Goodwood Chicane' (with bales and tyres), cross roads and a good straight section.

I do have some classic track that I now longer need due to me having moved house, only problem is that I live in Preston.

Is the shop still operating in Marlow.

there are 2 companys making mk 1 golf right now…..sprit do the classics and carrera do the customs

shop in marlow has moved to high wycombe and they got broken into just before xmass

It always happens - break ins at toy shops around Christmas.  :cry:

There was another scalextric shop in Rayners Lane, North London too. Don't know if thats still operating though.

Where's the chrome for the Racing Rigs?  :wink:  I know its/ was pretty hard to get hold of 10 years ago so it must be really hard now. I have opne with a light blue cab and a red fin on the back. Other cars from memory are..

we used to go to a track at Hurley, then helped to build slot track in cressex, not sure if it still operates?
where are you thinking of building it?

i saw a box full of original scaletrix at car boot other day, i mean a box full, for a quid! didnt buy it cos i couldnt be bothered to carry it round.
