rear coil springs

Hi,i am having a nightmare,i have tried to replace the rear springs and shocks on my mk1 golf diesel,i have got new boge shocks and cant get any springs to fit the shocks!!!!!!!!I have tried 11 sets from different suppliers, all different makes,NONE FIT :banghead: I have had lesjours, kyb, roc,to name a few,Only breakthrough was to order 2  from kline springs, same number, one fits which was in an old box and the other in a new box dont. :dontknow: What do i do now? anyone had this trouble recently?
The coils are physically too small so they dont sit on the shock properly

I've got some Lesjours rears on mine fitted last year to replace a broken original for MOT. If anything they are too big and don't sit properly on the BOGE gas strut. I've got some orginals off ebay that I'm going to put on. If I do it before Gaydon I will bring down the Lesjours. I also have a full set of unused lowered springs, that I'll bring as well if anyone is interested.

Sorted,at last, sent the boge oil shockers back and ordered boge gas shocks, extra 20 quid, springs still did not fit. :banghead: Only thing left was to try ordering a pair of cabriolet springs, they turned up,perfect fit, exactly the same springs as the origionals i took off, couldnt believe it,so if anyone else has trouble with poor fitment try cab springs (same as jetta mk1)

The lowered ones? I've had them about 15 yrs stored in the garage, got them for my orginal Driver but never fitted and then sold car. No idea what make they are and forgotten where I bought them from. Would take ?20 for all 4 of them. They are bright red!
