sorry guys, been dozing and obviously missed this thread.

Photography is very subjective, what someone might think is great, someone else will think its awful.

To be able to "teach" the art of Photography via a forum would be near on impossible. However, if there is anything specific we can help with please just ask.

One of the biggest tips to photography is practice. Its like anything i suppose, the more you practice, the better you'll be.

Sam, i'm disapointed in you…lol….come and have a proper chat next time you see us dude.

The truth is its an eye thing, I think you either have an eye for a good shot or you haven't its not something that can be taught I sometimes think "oh that will make a good shot but because im very much an amature I tend to take way to many shots of the same subject in the hope that when I get home at least 1-2 might be good.

you have to think about the shot not just the subject but how it frames up in the lens, whats in the back ground whats in the foreground.

i have taken photos of what I have thought have been fantastic views and they have been, but i have been distracted by the subject matter and not noticed the pylon wires or the ford escort all chaved up in the distance.

OK some things can be cleaned up by photo-shop etc but the best shot i have ever taken NEVER needs photo shop and to be honest although i have photo shop i try not to use it if i can.
Sometime folk use it and overcook it and it looks false and fake and this in my opinion look worse its like a woman with false boobs may be impressive at first glance but look at them close up and there not what they should be and not natural.

So there you have my opinion for what its worth which isn't much as i don't do it for a living, the main thing is have fun and enjoy taking photos what ever you choose as a subject, some shots will be outstanding and many may be crap but at the end of the day they are all moments in time that will never come round again just relax and enjoy…

Dont ask what your club can do for you, but what can you do for your club?
