One for the cabby experts? How many Rivages were there?

Just been asked by that chap at VW if we know how many Cabriolet Rivage models were sold in the UK.

Anyone know?

Cheers,

Drew.

John Blunsden's book says 260 Rivages were registered in 1991. However that's as far as the information goes as the book was published in 1992. However I've got Winter 1992 issues of Volkswagen Car and Driver which still offers Sportlines and Rivages as part of the model range and I have definitely seen K and L platers……

Sorry can't be any more help

It's where the steering wheel should be…..

1978 1.6GTi LHD

1979 1.1N LHD

1981 1.5CL LHD

1981 1.6GTi LHD

1982 1.6GLi Cabrio

none of which are on the road !!!!

That's what I thought, but apparently not!

Thanks lefthooker, I guesstimated about 500 which sounds about right. It would be good to be definitive though.

Marketing Dept, via Katy Ramsden and Hayley Butcher at Customer Care (0800 711811). I've explained who we are etc. and it seems a few people up there are already aware of our existence!

Customer Care are THE people to contact for manufacture dates! They send a letter within a couple of days (got one for each of our cars and my 'Old Faithful').
