not only did we have to divert around the incident on the m40.  the a46 was blocked due to an accident aswell.  have just discovered what happened due to a lad on one off the sites i help run has posted up what happened as he was there. by the sounds off it he's had one hell off a life changing experience i hope i have to never ever experience

Not nice.  Seeing something like that will stick in his memory for the rest of his life.  Respect to him for getting out of his car immerdiately to try and help others

My brother witnessed a horrific accident 5 years back, involving a lorry and a motorbiker who was decapeted!!

My bro didnt drive for 3 years after that, and even now he does'nt like driving!!

That has got to be the worst thing to see ever. I agree, respect due to the guy for being as helpful as he could.

contraflows are really dangerous when you think about it, even within the law the combined speeds that cars pass are pretty quick.

there was no contra flow in place the road was clean shut off

I'm in the fire service and have seen a few things in my time, i really feel for the guy who's had to witness it. The best thing he can do is talk to people about it.
