Officially a dub free zone here.............for now :o(

Blue cabby going to the scrappy on Monday afternoon. My first ever MK1 Golf, the one that made me fall in love with them.

Circumstances have meant I've had to sell on the white cabby and my camper project, and the blue Golf that was meant to be restored back to life (have to admit that was a project too far gone really, sentimentality made me hang on and hope).

I'm very very sad that for the first time since I discovered MK1s, around 14 years ago I wont have one. For the best part of that time I had a cabby as a daily drive.

I'm not going anywhere though, I still love em, and I still think that this club and the people that make it what it is are ace. And I WILL have another one one day!

Just sharing cos I'm very sad and most 'normal' people I know wouldnt understand  :roll:  :cry:

Yep, and I actually think I will cry when he comes to haul it away on Monday. Luckily the guy is well into MK1s as well, after having a long chat with him on the phone just now about them I think he'll understand me blubbing  :cry:

Gutted for you debs… if I had to sell any of mine even the rotbox tintop I'd be gutted…. hope things work themselves out and you get on the road with another one when circumstances change…. chin up….  :tlc:

i feel sad and its not my car

oh Debs what can i say i feel for you have a cry i would im the biggest softy i talk to my mk1s ,they dont listen to me and still do their own thing hang in there and I tell you what I will do when I get back from mi  jollies my radio show moves to a tuesday still 10-12 at night I will play you a medley  of tunes to cheer you up, might start with Rainbow "since you've  been gone" .  :wink:
if I'm honest I can't see me ever selling mine would be a very sad day so you go get another when the time is right girlfriend…

lol, I talk to mine too Andy, always thank them for getting me wherever I'm going (just in case they dont fancy getting me back lol)

Awww thanks Warren, onwards and upwards. I'll have another one, will probably be quite some time before I do, but it'll happen. Just have to console myself with looking and longing at the pics on here in the meantime!!

I was quite pleased when the guy said he was gonna strip stuff for his own caddy. And he laughed at me when I stopped him as he had it all hooked up ready to haul onto the truck so I could take the vw badge off the front to keep.

Had a right good natter with him about mk1s and caddys, then he said most women have trouble knowing what the logbook is when he goes to collect a car
