Also, it seems nowadays, when someone has a mk1. They are very reluctant to part with it. Unless its convertable of course, which isn't really a mk1.

I have been keeping a lookout for a Mk1 for a while and since Xmas this part of the forum has been short of a few cars for sale.

Maybe the Mk1 really is becoming a rare beast!

I was thinking about selling one of my series 1s as I have lost my storage space at work, either sell the restored one and use the money to fund the other ones restoration or weld up and MOT the project and sell that???

Danny - Nightmare!! How come you lost the space?

Dub76 - No problem with helping each other out - people do shout out about cars they've seen and as a general rule these don't get moderated. However, whilst there is maybe a fine line between whats free service and whats not sometimes, we do have a forum/website and a club to maintain.

Even without the club and its membership monies there's cost involved to provide this free service to one and all - without an income this wouldn't exist (or Drews and others efforts in their free time.) The decision to have members only for classifieds or pay small fee for non-members is purely to help keep this site going - as it gets more popular/hits - costs go up! 8O

As we've stressed before - we are a non-profit making organisation and ALL profits will always be put back in to the forum/website, the club and its members.

Hope this clears things up for everyone?!

Cheers
Andy

Sorry, was in no way intended as a critism, i'm happy with the site.

I'm paid up, but I would still prefer free access to classified for all inc non-payers.:mrgreen:
