looks like it could be nice little project for a reasonably compotent DIYer with the money to spend. If you could get it for less than a grand then I think it would be an ok buy. Tell me if I'm wrong

but then how much for a new engine? ?500? Think it would be a shame to let a camapign wrot away purely on mileage it's 23 years old so it's only done 7500 miles a year. Would be intersting to see how much history on it.

I'd love to mate but room and funds are the prob am looking for a rolling shell to midify in a couple of months and my concience wouldn't let me do anything other than restore that. Nice to dream though. if you wana buy it for me then that'd be great.
Tried to give you a buzz the other day about those bumpers and bit's but couldn't get through. Will be a couple of weeks till I want them now as have just got back from Belgium and spent too much moeny but and defo still after that stuff. Where about's are you based?

yea when your ready for the parts give us a call have them parts most of the time .any way its alright for some going abroad . are going abroad is going around the long way to the isle of wight .lol. we only live across the water in dorset

just proves the point why people break them :?  If no one wants it for ?500 its a real shame, milege is mainly irelavant now only those with super low miles are worth the extra. enigines are still cheep to buy or recon so no real problem there

To be fair, the auction's not ended yet. Also, sensible buyers wouldn't bid on more than one car at a time. One week, there might be 17 Mk1s on eBay and 16 serious buyers bidding….
