Settling In
rocket launchers and machine guns! 911 turbo engine in the boot, with the full porsche 4 wheel drive and braking system.
styling wise it'd be pretty much how it'll be when i'm finished……maybe some nicer wheels though

With no cash limit (does that include running costs too?) I'd not be starting from a standard Mk1 and doing work on it.
In fact, with limitless cash and free choice, there's a number of cars out there that don't need modifying, which I'd live with day-to-day. Things like McLaren F1, a nice Ferrari, maybe a Merc 500E, etc etc
Having worked on Mk1 Golfs for ages, there's things which simply can't be done (pragmatically), which are nice to have on a car. For example - off the top of my head - 90% of secondhand cars over about £1000 will have air conditioning these days. On a Mk1 Golf…..hmmmmm

i'd have a f1 grade pre preg carbon fibre mk1 swallowtail shell, wings, bonnet, tailgate and doors made up to fit a custom space frame. 13x9 magnesium splits and a tuned up 1.3 8v engine with 4 speed gear box. stripped interior and carbon rollcage. or something along those lines anyway. i cant wait to win the euromillions! that would be so good to drive!
