new info on recently aquired golf

any body throw any light on a mk 1 golf i have purchased in france with a house purchase,
it is on uk plates reg in 1991 mk1 golf 1800gli cabriolet g60, origanally from germany
has not got a supercharger, but has extras like power steering and heated recaro seats, and electric windows,body kit is by karmen
not modified except for 17 inch alloys and very low
i have owened and rallied golfs in the seventies but i cant seem to find what it is i have actually bought this time as nobody i talk to has heard of one,

How soon can you get pics of the interior, exterior and engine bay? That would help greatly as all the info about the engine is a bit confusing. If it doesn't have a charger then it must be the standard 1800i engine yet in another post (by your son I think) he states that the log book has G60 in it. The rest of the spec (if the car is a LHD European model) could well mean you have a Classic Line model. This would have come with power steering, electric windows and the Recaro leather will have been an upgrade option, I imagine or could have been fitted by the previous owner as it sounds like the car has been modified a little. The body kit was standard on all models from 1988 (I think).

Curiouser and Curiouser.

Very odd that it would be listed in the logbook as a G60 and not be fitted with a supercharger.
