need loving mechanic in Northampton area

Hi all

I am the very proud owner of a 1988 gti cab. However my knowledge of cars is limited at best. Does anyone know of a mechanic who specialises in our cars in the northampton area. Its all about piece of mind really, the local VW dealers have that lovely attitude like your a pimple on their a**!
