My mk1 golf cabby is home
*didnt know were to post :dontknow: If needs moving mods can you move please*
Here are some pics of my little mk1 golf cabby car, she is ok just needs a good little repray in the next month. I need to lower her but im just waiting for the kit to come at the moment. Its a 60/40 drop.
I also need some 45's tyres on her, as the 195/50 dont look to right on it but there do for now, as no point in paying new ones when there ok.
I need some front smoked lights (indictors) but i cant find any i like at the moment, so orange it is .
Here are some pics.
I now have a nice dent in the passenger door, as someone just gave me on the only dent on the whole fricking car, didnt have one before now.

When you say 40/60 drop, do you mean -40mm at the rear and -60mm at the front? Let us know how you get on with clearance/rubbing issues. I am led to believe that anything below around -40mm with wide wheels, rubs. What you want is to run standard 13s…..
Thats -80mm all round. I did a little experimentation and I can go as low as -95mm, but with rubbing on rough roads (like the road I need to drive down to get the car out the garden!)

Yeap that what i mean, but i plan to cut the inner arch away on the golf, so shouldnt have any problems to be honest.
I hope i dont other wise im gonna have to go siffer springs.

lookin nice gonna be interestin to see what u do!!
ive got 195 45 15s on, there r clearance issues on the rear, i get rubbing over bumps, but i havent stiffened the rear up yet.
i have trimmed the inner arches on the rears too that helped alot and at least made it drivable
ere ya go
good luck

why the hell do cabs sit low at the rear at high at the front, have they got a second engine in the rear and the front is a fake one 8O
I should be ok with the wheels if i sort the tyres out on them as there a high et 30 so not to bad just 7x15 so a little wider.
