My 1985 1.8 Gli

This is what i've got to keep me busy i picked the car up last year it's a 1985 1.8 Gli and haven't really done much to it yet, just really been buying a few things as i find them until i move into the new house( Finally a garage :D  :D ), but i thought i'd stick a few of the parts on and give it a quick wash!!

How it's been sitting for the last while!!

New large duckbill spoiler!!

New rear lights!!

A few pics with the roof down seeing as it wasn't raining for once!!

The dodgy interior!!

The carpets have all been ripped out due to a bit of a leak, and the seats are pretty done so i have a new set of front seats to go in just need to cut off the subframes of the current ones and fix them to the new ones, if my welding skills are up to it!!

The plans are, new wheels which i should be getting soon, fit new seats, and then arrange for a new carpet and roof, i'm looking at getting a grey mohair roof (not seen anywhere that does them though)

Then i will gradually sort any rust and get it looking nice and shiny!!

Would love to go down the lines of a engine swap, but for now i'll need to stick with the 8v (maybe i should sell the A2, to fund a new engine  )
