Mobile paddling pool for rent

Anyone interested? I have a 5 door paddling pool that I am willing to rent out for parties etc. Comes with non-slip rubber mats on the floor. Only downside is that it is only available while the wet weather here lasts
Not much fun to drive my car when it's like that and I can't seem to find the leaks :? Anyone else having problems with leaks?

Hi Shortstuff,

I had a Mk2 once, It leaked loads through the door membranes so take the door cards off and have a look, I bet the membranes have shrunk and come detached. Use some new plastic sheeting and make sure it seals 100% at the bottom of the door or you'll still have a leak.

Check out the following link for more ideas:

Thought I had sorted all my leaks this year….. until it rained hard and my drivers side front and back has filled up with water  :banghead: I did the door membranes and they seemed alright, maybe need to check em again. Or just leave the caver on it when ever it rains.

good luck

I had a look behind the door cards before it started raining and…………………….no door membranes at all! So it leaks there, but it comes in and leaks down through the fuse box area too :( Had my L/H parking lights staying on all yesterday  Now the weather is warm it seems to be a bit more of a sauna! I think i'm going to have a look under the scuttle if it stays dry.

Break out the polythene sacks

Kellymk1, my Campaign leaks through the rust holes in the roof! Sometimes get up to 3 or 4 inches of water in there!!!!!!! Hopefully a roof skin should sort that leak out though.

Probably start finding others then :(

I alo noticed that if the boot area is getting damp then its probably the seals around your light clusters - took me a while to trace that one.

As well as checking the door membrances are OK its probably also worth checking the weatherstrips on the outside of the windows too. If these are in good nick they can prevent a lot of water getting into the door in the first place. If they are knackered, then the water will be getting in bigtime, with only the membranes to stop it getting into the car.

Cheers Chris! The bottom outer weatherstrips are pretty poor so I will look at replacing those. I might look out for a set of doors though because the NS are a bit scraped up.

I found my fuse box area leak was cured by fitting a new windscreen rubber still have to park it on an uphill slope otherwise the sunroof leaks - blocked drain tubes ? has anyone ever replaced these , i did think of cheating by running new tubes through the rollcage .
