MK1 Wanted for TV Programme

I've been asked to help out sourcing a MK1 GTI for a tv programme with a local media company in glasgow.

The TV programme is a car makeover series and this week they are filming the restoration of a MK2 GTI. They are looking for a MK1 to feature as part of this episode on Friday in the Glasgow area.

At this stage if you are avilable on Friday and have a MK1 GTI stick up a picture and contact details (Or Pm me) and i will pass these on. The media company havent specified whether the mk1 should be standard or modified so i think its an open playing field, nothing too crazy like bentley wheels and bright blue paint tho  

Have you tried young Andrew (Marsredgti) he's at Uni thru in Glasgow.

Not sure if his Mk1 is thru there tho, might be tucked up in his parents garage  :dontknow:

            I am  the production coordinator for an independant Media company, Bees Nees media and we are currently filming a car entertainment show for the new BBC ALBA channel, called CUIBLICHEAN AN FHORTAIN. The format of the show involves 2 teams rennovating 2 classic cars to be sold at auction, and part of the programme is a 'Top Gear'  style feature with our resident classic car expert, John MacNeill,  test driving mint condition versions of the cars  that we are renovating.
 
We are based at a Garage in Barrhead on the southside of Glasgow and take the cars out to Loudoun Castle theme park where we have the use of their ( rather lovely) treelined drive. We have already filmed with a classic MGB roadster, Aplha Romeo Sprint a classic Saab, Porsche, Toyota MR2 mk1 and a Audi Quattro. As this weeks filming is focused on a VW Golf Mrk 2 GTI and a VW Scirocco, we were hoping to get hold of a Golf Mrk 1, and I was wondering if you could put me in touch with any owners that you think might be happy to show thier cars off for a couple of hours this Friday, the 14thNovember- either morning or afternoon. I notice from your website that there is a collector - Andrew Miller who has several fabulous looking cars and was wondering if you could put me in touch with him?  
 
I apologise for the short notice on this - it tends to be the nature of  telly, and as such you can appreciate any info that you can give me would be great!
