I think this belongs to Alex H who posts on this forum.  It looked a good quality one and didn't have any rust on it at all.  Worth a bid if you need one of these.

I'd have a bid on it if I had somewhere to store it. Don't need at the mo, but very uselful to have in stock - can already see the girlfriends eyes rolling

Maybe someone who can get these reproduced should buy it! would make a lot of money and happy Mk1 restorers from making and selling them!

Excuse my noddy question here  ops: … but is this how the shell's were constructed originally? I.e. are there welds across the join of that panel and the door pillar / C pillar?

And does anyone know if you can buy these currently from an aftermarket panel place?

Only I need one of these, but I'm not in the UK at the mo, so I can't collect this one. Otherwise I'd go and see the guy straight away…

Originally the panel would have gone all the way to the top… and probably included all of the sill  :dontknow:

Dont think this part would be available easily to be honest, I checked on Hardian's website and couldn't find it

The complete outer side skin is one pressing I think. You are only going to need that size panel if you have accident damage I guess.

rich if the panel does not sell and you are still interested when you get back then give me a ring(07764 270 139). further to your other question,  this panel is now obsolete and has been for some time
