MK1 Golfs of South Africa

Did you guys know that they still make MK1 golfs in South Africa? The new ones are called the VeloCiti Golf, it has a completely redesigned interior and a new modern dash, 15" mags, etc. I myself drive a '94 MK1 Golf CTi, it's a standard 1800 Golf.
Word is that VW South Africa is developing a 2litre MK1 Golf..

you can still buy them new but they've stopped building them so I believe
 :cry:

also shame they didn't do the 3 door!

Yeah, knew they made them in SA, but thought they had stopped production last year?

They will prob have a ton left to sell of course, hence the VW site still up?

Hi,i have a citigolf in red with air con from South Africa,had a white one which i registered with dvla and the sold to a mate on the site,both were 94 built,both cars are on the owners cars area,
