The AX GT they trashed was a 64K mile mint one, I nearly bought it in February. Wish I had now.

Bloddy hell…. These guys ruin good cars.

The Lotus they trashed was one of the better ones, sourced from Pistonheads (as was the AX). There aren't many CX Safaris left, either. Hell, I'm not sure there are many Mk 4 XR3is, but at least in the case of the Astra and XR3 they looked like ragged old crap close up.

The AX wasn't even a big player in the hot hatch wars, they could just as easily have trashed a Proton GTi or something.

IIRC, the Maserati Merak they trashed they reputedly drained the oil out of specifically to kill it.
