MK1 Convertible

Hello all,

Can anyone point me to some links where I can get more info on the MK1  convertible…

I understand they were in production from 79 to 93…

Im looking to find out when they had a facelift (ie went to big bumpers) + what diff models there was ie clipper, karmann and wolfsburg etc…

And also what size cc were on each model…

Also insurance group info…

Any help would be greatly appreciated as looking to buy one…

Loads of different versions for Europe and the UK and USA.
There is no such thing as a Karmann Edition.
Karmann was the Manufacturer of all the Canriolets Inc those shipped to the USA.
The badges are usually found on the lower section of the front wings.
Budget and ability to restore will be a factor in purchasing.
