Man from DVLA say yes....Finally

Well boys and girls,i have finally managed to get my 1994 citigolf registered in the uk. :cheer:
Vw u.k were well useless,waste of a freephone call,glad it was free.
VW germany were on the ball,rang them, told them my problem with me needing an official dating letter and they searched the files whilst i was on the phone,no record, so the woman said she will contact South Africa for me and sort it out,4 days later a letter is in my hands  and im off to DVLA Birmingham.
Total cost was 98.50 to include 6 months tax,not too bad,no sva test needed either  
Mot was no problem  8)  fitted a fog light to the rear cluster,and changed the clocks to miles out of a gti with rev counter.
All i need now is a reg number to be sent and have some plates made then The weapon is up for sale……..
Thanks to all the help and advice off other members,saved me having an sva test at least
