Magazine Articles

It may be an idea as a "group" to collate an index of all know Golf MK1 articles appearing in the press/car mags.

A new member to the forum was asking for any articles. I have kept a lot of stuff with MK1 featured.

Not wanting of course to blow copywrites but possibly arrange a loose database of articles listing the mag title and month/year in which the articles appeared.

Is this possible (Drew/anyone), for club members to list articles they are aware of where they can be added to and accessed by all. Is this the idea behind Article Archive?

If we scan them in we should be able to upload to the site in the normal fashion. I think I can make an exception to the size limits for a particular category.

As long as we put up a copyright notice and remove the articles in case of complaint we should be ok. Most mags don't have a problem with this. Last weeks mag is history!

Just come back from a weekend visiting GF?s mother and her sisters family in Southern Holland. Saw 3 old air cooled VWs but no Mk1s, which was disappointing?... However coming back via Schiphol picked up a few car mags and a German one has an article about a MK1 GTI v new Golf GTI vs Polo 1.8T 150PS (not sure if this last one is a conversion or a factory model yet to make it over here). I?ll try and scan in the pictures which although have german text include a truly mint 1.6 small rear light, with early dash but later wrap around bumpers. It has WOB Wolfsburg plates so I think it may be from the factory Museum? I?ll sweet talk the better half into reading the article and let you know which they thought was best. (not only is she happy with me spending time and ? on the MK1 she?s fluent in Dutch, German and English, can cook like an angel and the rest etc etc, How lucky am I !?!?!?!?)

Does she have a sister?  

Finally scanned in the pictures and its been posted up onto the Literature Album. From what I can tell the article itself is more concerned about how many POLO GTIs will be sold in Europe and how good the MINI Cooper is, even through its not in the actual piece :?:

PS She has, but shes already spoken for (by a frenchman no less)
