Then your into the more professional type polishers. There are the DA random orbit type like the G220 (safer for less experienced as less risk of burning through paint) or the full blown rotary.
A lad at work bought a Makita rotary (he had no prior experience of machine polishing) but just read up loads on Detailing world and has had great results. He practiced on his girlfriends old Clio before going at it on his Z4 but the results are stunning.
I'm considering a Meguirs Kestrel as it's a bit bit cheaper than the G220, but plan on having a go at correcting the swirl marks by hand before I go for a machine.

What's the reason you need one exactly? Unless it's vital to your cause,i'd save your money. (been valeting cars 15 years myself!)

Well if im honest i dont need one , its more that i want one . I like to keep a clean car and enjoy giving them a good wash and polish , the MK1 has a few swirl marks in it that i would like to remove . Its just something id like to be able to do .
