Hi,does anyone know the colour name for this paint code.it is on 1990 mk1 convertible.LY5V

dont think thats a vw colour code looks more like an engine number

yeah mate that looks more like an engine number, if you look in the boot there should be an options sticker (unless it has been removed, respray etc)
this will have a code on it which is usually made up of letters and numbers,  4 or 5 figures i think. for example, mine's LB6V

Marsrot…..

Im guessing mine must have been mars red then  :dontknow:

Didnt look like mars red, seemed abit darker, more like a claret  :dontknow:

It is a 3rd world country..........its also an absolutely awfull colour!! next to hearing aid beige of course

Look at the headings to your left, those boxes are probably Namibia Red arent they?
